Eelco Wortman

Eelco Wortman, a self-taught freelance photographer from The Netherlands, draws inspiration from traditional street and film photography. His work, influenced by (natural) light, color, shape, and contrast, primarily focuses on people in their natural environment. Intrigued by the human condition and overlooked daily situations, his candid photographs emphasize storytelling and detail in urban settings.

Since 2015, Eelco has honed his skills, blending styles to create authentic and emotive narratives. He has been commissioned by leading brands and actively engages in personal projects. In 2021, he fully embraced his identity as an artist and began participating in photo prizes, winning the 'SO Public Choice Award' two consecutive years. Eelco also expanded into photojournalism since 2022, combining commercial and documentary work to fuel his passion for storytelling through photography.
